Jyoti Sheth is an Indian painter and artist, associated with painting across a variety of mediums. Her work demonstrates elaborate techniques emphasizing inspiration from the seemingly mundane subjects of everyday life, transforming them into captivating works of art through oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, watercolor and texture painting. Jyoti is also specializing in Mandala Art, an ancient art form gaining popularity as a spiritual guidance tool used to aid in meditation and bringing sacred and calming energy to your space.
Jyoti is proud to welcome you to her very first artist showcase in Mumbai, at the age of 73. Here you will experience a larger series of the artist’s work, spanning across various subjects including Mandala Art, Canvas, Portraits, Landscapes, wildlife abstract etc.
Jyoti learnt her art in Kolkata, at very young age, under the guidance of Ram sir and Ranjit sir. They taught her how to love art and told her not to worry about mistakes but to correct them and learn from them. Her pet name Jyotibafule was given to her by very dear and loving Yusuf Merchant sir, who taught her lines and still life, which are now pillars of her strength. Lastly, she is very much indebted to artist, Mr Ashok Karnik. After a gap of 18-20 years she learnt everything under his guidance. She owes a lot to his contribution in developing her personality as an artist.
